It's overcast today with rain in the forecast. But all is not gray. While out gathering mulberry leaves for those continually hungry silkworms, I saw these practically glowing.
Specs: Rose, pink, smells good and that's all I know. I think it's a David Austin rose, but I surely wouldn't go to court on it.
And there was another earth family member out having an early morning breaktime. I'd already put the camera up but he/she was nice enough to stay put until I could get it and get back outside. See ya later!

Gorgeous!
I agree. It looks like his style of rose.
Pretty in pink!! Nice bug too!!
Cookie, if I were rich and could employ a real gardener, I'd have a whole yard filled with his roses. I really wheeze with fake rose scents, but the scent of a real rose...ah heaven! And they are beautiful and sturdy too!
Thank you Paris. It was pretty funny. I spied that guy and gave orders to "stay there, I'll be right back!" And hey...either it obeyed or it had nothing better to do!
Beautiful roses.
I don't know what kind of bug that is, but they are just thick around here. It's not so great when one of them gets in the house.
Linda, so far I haven't found any inside. I did see a couple more outside on the porch yesterday morning.
Beauatiful roses. I'm with you on hating fake rose scents. Amazing picture of the bug. Trying to remember it's name and am coming up blank ( but it is late & I was supposed to be in bed hours ago) .. that bug eats misquitos .. but can't remember it's name, dangit!
Hopefully by now, you've been asleep for hours! Sprites need their beauty sleep,ya know.
