Saturday Sky and Saturday Yarn

Windy, windy, windy today. I went out by the lake to take pictures and thought I was going to blow over. Supposed to maybe rain tomorrow. And if there is any moisture in the southwest, surely the winds will blow it up this way.

But rain or not, it's happy in this house, because look what came in the mail. Dave of the fabulous Cabin Cove's yarn! Isn't it gorgeous? And it's soooo soft. I took the band off and untwisted the skein before I remembered that I hadn't taken a picture to share. And I learned that I have a lot to learn about twisting up the skein. *G*.

I started another scarf (not that I finished the first one yet) and I have fabric cut out for some cards, and I really think I need to start another pair of socks. Perhaps first though, I'll spend some quality time with this yarn and maybe even find the end so I can wind it into balls.

Life is good.

Windy here, too, today. Lovely change from HOT!, isn't it? ;^)

The yarn is lovely! Of course, Dave's yarn is always lovely. He's good like that.

I hope you're having a good time playing.

Dave Yarn is always a day brightener. I had some Dave Yarn out today on the swift and wound it into a ball for my next pair of socks...

I guess that's going to have to qualify as my sunday socks photo of the week..yarn, needles and a pattern.

Lovely yarn. So warm and cozy looking. Can't say about the wind as I spent most of the day traveling. Hope your today is less windy.

I like the way you twisted it up :)

Sooo pretty, indeed! That would make for a very colorful scarf! Against a black blouse ... mmm mmmm mmmmm!

Cold, hot, cold, hot ... California - ya gotta love it! HA!

Ann, that's about where I'm at. I really need to get a swift. Skeins I wind on my homemade thingy fit on the arms of my office chair. Dave's require a clever geometrical arrangement of dining room chairs. I did discover that if I go round and round, I get dizzy and about fall over. So I just sort of hover over them. It's quite graceful, I'm sure.

Devorah, I hope you had a good travel day. The wind brought rain and cool temps for Sunday. Nice!

Jessica, LOL I can't quite get the right twist. I should have taken the picture first, but I undid it out of the package and wore it around my neck for awhile enjoying the softness. btw, I adore your new yarn from Scout! Lucky girl!

Windy days make me homesick, since we never have wind. Lucky us!

Getting caught up on reading blogs, and I was shocked when I read your post today. I saw the yarn and thought it was nice, and then read it was the one I made up! Freaky. And it matches the quilting from the previous post. (If you ever need the yarn wound into cakes, give a holler, it's not a problem at all.)
