Sing, sing a song

The early part of last evening was spent at the "Citywide Honor Choir" concert (grade school). Mostly traditional folk type songs, some arranged by Aaron Copeland so they were richer in sound and lovely. What's the most fun, though is seeing the kids. Some of them I first met when they were in onesies and it's ever so nice to see how they've grown and changed. If I stop and think it makes me feel much older; so...I don't stop and think! :-)

Came home, had a soak and then got all comfy to read blogs and comment. About the time the microwave let me know my tea water was ready, it started to thunder. So...computer shut down and knitting time ensued. The sock that was ripped completely out is going again. Goes so well with the jammie bottoms, eh? This is the kool aid yarn that I dyed awhile back. I'm liking it a lot.

Other news, well not news but a possibility. I have heard about a vehicle for sale that by report is in good shape and hopefully I can get enough money to buy it. Please send good car thoughts this way. I need one so badly!

That sock is looking good, Susan. Pretty colors.
Kids and music. Perfect together. I'm sure the concert was lovely. I'm off for the weekend to watch my kids perform Rock and Roll! Not as soothing as traditional folk, but fun, none the less.

Kirsten, are your kids in a band? I gotta say...I will always love rock and roll! Ha..I think Blogger times are west coast. I don't get up that early..usually between 5 and 5:30. I thought it was because the old cat Mary thinks that's breakfast time, but discovered on vacation that I still woke up about then. Not much of a night owl tho.

I'm liking these colors a lot, even tho when I first dyed it I thot it was horrid. Made me realize how different things look when dry, and/or actually knitted.

Thanks Dave. This is the only heel I know how to make. I have no idea what the hell on store bought socks is called. You know, looks like it has one little line running at an angle. I just wish I knitted faster. I had to laugh the other night, I was knitting along on an easy part (no thinking involved) and realized I was practically knitting myself to sleep. The stitching was happening very rhythmically and slooooowly. hahah I felt I should have been saying "ommmmmm"

I love the socks....I started the mermaid tail socks tonight and I am just past the toes and ready for the mindless knitting on two socks. I could see myself dozing off..veryyyyyyyyyyy easily.
