Are You Ready for Some Football!?!?!?

Yayyyyyyy tonight is the first preseason pro football game on tv. I LOVE football! I thought it was just the one game this week, but my tv guide says there are 5 games this week. Oh yessss...even if it's still hot, I can pretend it's a fall day (or evening) if I don't look or go outside!

I've only been to one game other than high school games. One time some friends took me to a Dallas/Redskins game. It was too funny. We were in nosebleed seats, and with my only football experience being on tv, it was hilarious trying to figure out who was doing what. Little bitty people way down there. And I was suprised that it was cold! But some hot chocolate fixed me right up..oh and my longggg Dallas socks helped too.

Once I had one of those really real dreams. The kind that after you awaken, you know it was a dream but stilll....it seems so very real. Anyway in this one, I dreamed that Boomer Esiason was my very best friend. I have NO idea where that thought wormed it's way into my subconscious. Such a goofy thing. I told a couple of friends about it and they'd hassle me if he wasn't doing well. "Susan, you need to call your friend Boomer and tell him ..yadda yadda." At Christmas time, I got some Jets keychains and such and put them under the tree, signing the gift tags as "Susan's friend Boomer" Maybe you had to be there! *G*

Been a fairly productive and, at the same time, relaxing afternoon. Sunday sock in it's bazillionth incarnation has a turned heel, and hopefully some gussets before picture taking time.

And now I've got to fix some supper so I'll be all ready for some FOOTBALL!

OMG..we have a shared interest in football too?

Boomer Esiason was a Cincinnati Bengal before he was a Jet...he can star in my dreams anytime! Wait, maybe he already has?

I love football. My step-father was a hs football coach. Last year I was second place in the fantasy football competition at work...that was dumb luck.

:o)

Oh cool, Ann! I don't know a lot of females that love football..we're just special, I guess. and hey congrats on your second place finish. I suck at stats so when I tried, I always chose people for the wrong reasons LOL. re Boomer, in your dreams...perhaps what happens in your dreams, stays in your dreams *G*

hey procast! Oh good so I can have a football/knitting blog LOL I'm an OSU girl too unless they are playing OU...then I'm sorry, but I just have to sing Boomer Sooner LOL. It may be a bit difficult this year during football season tho. Maybe it's not all Mel's fault..maybe it's Rhett's

I think there's more women in Oklahoma that like football than not. We actually got to see the Kansas City Chiefs play (who, I don't remember) and I like them on TV much better. The beer and popcorn are cheaper, and there's no lines to the bathroom. ;)

LOL Laura, this is true. Here in my town, I think the "baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet" would be

football, coneys with slaw, onion fried and pickup trucks *G*

procast...most definitely! Only time I ever rooted for Tx was at a softball game that Cat Ostermann was pitching. It surely seemed weird!
